Stone Church Press was founded in 2022, in an act of frustration, by Aaron Lange and Jake Kelly. Operated out of Cleveland Ohio, our location informs our ideas and choices, though we are not slaves to provincialism; Stone Church is not a regional press. Our interests and ambitions shall not be confined by geography, nor shall they be categorized by any orthodoxy, convenient branding umbrella, or pre-fab political assumptions. While not in any strict sense a “comix” publisher, Stone Church does prioritize visual aesthetics (be they comic books, illustration, or graphic design) in relation to text (be it fiction, non-fiction, or some grey area between). In a complete contradiction of this literary mission, Stone Church also offers a selection of art prints and “non-book” items. Caprice and savagery are luxuries afforded to us, the independent.
